Help Kids at Lake Chabot Shoreline!

Kids are coming to Lake Chabot soon for the Youth Fishing Derby, and we need your help with a little shoreline improvement so they can reach the water. Wear sturdy clothes and shoes (waders if you have them), hat, sunscreen, and gloves. We’ll provide water and refreshments, as well as any tools that are needed. Enter the park at the east end of North Camino Alto, off Tuolumne past the Sutter Solano Medical Center. San Francisco Bay Flyway Festival is Here!

Flyway Festival

Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 11-12 from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The San Francisco Bay Flyway Festival is an annual celebration of the return of shorebirds, waterfowl, hawks, and songbirds to our area. This free event focuses on the ecosystem we live in and the wildlife that inhabits it. There will be exhibits and interactive activities provided by more than 75 nature and kid-oriented organizations.Stop by the Vallejo Watershed Alliance table at the Wildlife Expo. If you are interested in helping staff the table and talk to visitors about the work of the Alliance, please contact us at info@VallejoWatershedAlliance.org, and we’ll find a shift that works for you. The event will take place, rain or shine, at Building 221: 880 Walnut Avenue on Mare Island.
