Helping & Celebrating!

The Alliance will host two events this month, and we’d love to see you at either or both!

On Monday, July 5 (9-11 a.m.), Friends of Lake Chabot and Vallejo Watershed Alliance volunteers will meet at the Dan Foley Community Park boat launch to help the park recover from the long weekend of Independence Day parties and celebrations. Each year, hundreds of people come to the park to celebrate and watch the Six Flags fireworks, and a significant amount of extra litter accumulates around the shoreline.

On Saturday, July 17 (9-noon), we celebrate you! Vallejo Watershed Alliance volunteers are invited to join us for a Thank You Lunch at Blue Rock Springs Park (lake picnic area). We start at 9 a.m. with an easy cleanup around the lake and park if you want, and have an early lunch to thank you for being with us throughout the year and helping make Vallejo a cleaner and safer place. If you can’t make it to the cleanup, you’re still welcome for lunch at 11:00, we’d love to see you. Please RSVP to Info@VallejoWatershedAlliance.org to let us know you are coming, so we can be sure to have enough food for all.
