The Alliance will host two events this July, and we’d love to see you at either or both!
On Wednesday, July 5 from 9-noon, Friends of Lake Chabot and Vallejo Watershed Alliance volunteers will meet at the Dan Foley Community Park boat launch to help the park recover from the weekend of Independence Day parties. Each year, hundreds of people come to the park to celebrate and watch the Six Flags fireworks, and a significant amount of extra litter accumulates around the shoreline; GVRD will have staff there but could use some extra hands!
On Saturday, July 15 from 9-noon, we celebrate you! Vallejo Watershed Alliance volunteers are invited to join us for a Thank You Lunch at Blue Rock Springs Park (Trailside picnic area between the parking lot and the lake). We will start at 9 a.m. with an easy cleanup around the lake and park if you want, and have an early lunch to thank you for being with us throughout the year and helping make Vallejo a cleaner and safer place. If you can’t make it to the cleanup, you’re still welcome for lunch at 11:00 — we’d love to see you. Please RSVP to Info@VallejoWatershedAlliance.org to let us know you are coming, so we can be sure to have enough food for all.
For both events, wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes, hat, sunscreen, and gloves. We’ll bring all the necessary supplies and refreshments. Email Info@VallejoWatershedAlliance.org with any questions. See you out there!
