We are hosting a table at the Visions of the Wild Discovery Zone, and would love to have you join us to spread the news about the Vallejo Watershed Alliance. If you are interested in staffing the table, please email Info@VallejoWatershedAlliance.org. We will have touch tanks with Critters of Lake Chabot displayed, as well as general information about our habitat restoration projects and cleanups.
The festival is wonderful, and if you can’t help out at the table, we hope you’ll attend one of the many activities. This year’s festival will honor environmental heroes of Vallejo and Benicia, who will be celebrated on opening night, Thursday, October 12 at the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum. Spoiler Alert: people we know and love will be honored!
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for Saturday, November 18. We’ll be returning to Glen Cove Waterfront Park to continue work on the habit restoration site.

A HUGE thanks to all of you who participated in this year’s Coastal Cleanup Day. Vallejo had 19 sites covering 21 miles of shoreline. 523 volunteers removed more than 7,000 pounds of trash and recyclables, making our city safer and more beautiful. We thank all of our partners who make the event possible … we couldn’t do it without you!
