Saturday, November 20 9 a.m. to noon
The Vallejo Watershed Alliance is delighted to partner with the Solano Resource Conservation District and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation to kick off planting for their new habitat enhancement project at the Glen Cove Waterfront Park.
A representative of the Tribe’s Cultural Resources Department will be on site and will give a briefing before the planting begins.
We will plant an 8-10 foot band of native grasses and shrubs along the top edge of the waterfront slope to help reduce erosion, and we hope you’ll join us!
Wear sturdy clothes and closed-toe shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and gloves. Water, refreshments, and tools will be provided. RSVP to Info@VallejoWatershedAlliance.org.
