Season’s Greetings!

Happy holidays and heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked with the Vallejo Watershed Alliance this year! With your support, the Alliance successfully hosted cleanups and habitat enhancement projects at Glen Cove Waterfront Park, Lake Dalwigk, Lake Chabot, and Hanns Park, as well as along Rindler Creek, Blue Rock Springs Creek and Benicia State Recreation Area. We celebrated together at a summer BBQ at Blue Rock Springs Park and participated in both Earth Day and Coastal Cleanup Day activities, among others.

We are excited to announce that the Lake Dalwigk Park project is nearing completion, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 11 a.m. to noon —rain or shine! As one of the partners in this project, we would love to see our volunteers there! More information is available on the City of Vallejo’s social media pages.

Looking ahead to 2025, the first workday of the year will be on Saturday, January 18. We will partner with the Solano Resource Conservation District and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation for a restoration project in Glen Cove/Benicia State Park, along with a beach cleanup at Glen Cove Waterfront Park. More details will be provided in the January email.

Lastly, we want to express our gratitude to all our volunteers who dedicated their time and effort during our monthly workdays. We could not achieve this work without you.

Thank you!
